DH2's Midget Diary

OK, I'm sorry. Whilst the glaciers are still melting, not here they aren't. It's been bloomin' cold, snow and ice, doom and pestilence. Or something like that anyway. This time I have even less to report, but when people moan at you for not updating the diary, I have to explain that it's because I haven't done anything.

I have been a bit distracted by the warm feeling of being indoors, and then doing jobs and stuff there, Christmas, decorating, then buying a new car, selling the old one, blahblahblah... Still, I now own two cars, both of which only have two seats and are convertible - this is great until I want to take a pile of junk to the tip. I'm probably just having a mid-life crisis.

Apparently, the glaciers are melting. Some might suggest that this is happening at a faster rate, than any sort of progress on the Midget! And they might be right... strange how lots of people have been asking me how it's going, and then I have to tell them that I haven't really done anything.

So, it's a long time since the last update, and few things _have_ happened since then. I gave the car a clean. Despite it not really being very dirty at all, considering it has been sitting around for a long time, but I figured I would have a clean start before I pull it apart. Also, a couple of weeks ago, I pushed the car out and started it up again - this was mainly because I needed to get some large items out of the garage loft space. After this outing, I pushed the car back into a more central position in the garage, allowing me access to both sides of it for working on.

Today I went out to the garage with all good intentions to get the car jacked up and the wheels off. Unfortunately, I had forgotten the state that the socket set was in, and so ended up spending some time cleaning that up ready for action. Apparently it is important that you lay your tools out, give them all names, etc...
