Well, the car is now sold!
As I'm a good chap I have been giving the car it's final once over to make sure everything is in good order and clean and tidy for it's new owner. It hasn't really sunk in yet, and I don't expect it will until I wave it off down the road and am left with an empty garage!
I intend to try to get some nice photos of the car before it goes, to round off the story here. I'll also be aiming to keep this website available, as I'm led to believe it is quite a useful reference to people in the Westfield community still.
Not sure yet what might be filling the empty space in the garage...

So I spent a bit of time finishing off preparing the car for its new owner. This involved taking it out for a final drive, and then giving it a last clean to make sure it was all tidy. I also then managed to get it out for some decent photos whilst it was still clean - I've not processed the photos yet, but will post some up once I have had chance to deal with them.
And so, today, the car has gone. I was up early to collect the new owner who had flown down from Edinburgh to Stansted, and we then spent a couple of hours going over the car, making up a power lead for him to connect his GPS to the auxilliary power connector, and going out for a quick bike-engined car driving lesson. Oh and he gave me a bundle of cash, virtually.
And with that, it was time to wave the car off, and be left with a relatively empty looking garage!

While the garage is devoid of anything interesting to put in it, I started on a big clearout and tidy up. It's surprising how much "stuff" I've accumulated with building and fettling the car over 7 years, some of which goes all the way back to a load of boxes from some of the parts that came with the kit. I've started a few piles: rubbish, stuff to try to sell on, stuff to tidy up into new storage boxes.
