And so another year ticks past...
After pushing the car away at the end of September, with its broken front anti-roll bar, there it sat completely
untouched for 9 weeks! Not quite untouched actually, as it was used fairly extensively as a shelving system, being
covered in boxes and stuff whilst I was doing some work on the house.
At the start of the month, the situation got bad enough, and I felt sufficiently guilty, that I spent a couple of
hours in the garage having a damn good tidy up of all the accumulated stuff. At this point I also pushed the car
out of the garage, started it up (first time, on the button, of course) and let it get a bit of warmth in it. Then
I pushed it back in, covered it back up, and there it has continued to sit.
In between these two events, I did manage to get the front anti-roll bar fixed up with a new piece of tube. As with
the rear it has been repaired with CDS tube this time, so hopefully it might last a bit longer, as long as the welding
has been done ok.
And so that ends another year. Two trips to Scotland isn't so bad - I've not checked the mileage covered but it is
more than most recent years, as I had to extend the insurance policy before the second Scotland trip. I have some plans
to do a few little bits to the car, which I will have to get around to starting work on in the new year, if the weather
permits, it's been pretty cold for working in the garage for any period, recently.
