Apologies for the distinct lack of updates here on the website, but as ever, it's summer (or supposed to be), so I'm not
really doing much to the car. The weather this year has been distinctly not very good, so there haven't been too many
opportunities to use it, but I have taken on a few outings. All I've done to it since the tour is to wash it, once.

As I was going to use the car today, last night I thought I'd better at least take the bonnet off and give it a quick
eyeball once over. Actually, I also wanted to reduce the amount that the oil cooler is covered, as last time out it was
running a bit warm on high speed cruising. For some (fortunate) reason, I stuck my head under the rear of the car just
for an eyeball.
At this point I noticed that the rear anti-roll bar has sheared, as the droplink on the nearside was dangling around
with a sheared arm attached to it. As it's not critical, I simply removed the droplink with the broken arm, the rest of
the bar is still attached ok, this allowed me to complete my planned trip. Now I need to work out what to do about
fixing it in some way... it's clear that it has failed where the knuckle is welded, I'm not sure it is repairable in
a trivial manner.

A rainy day today which meant that I couldn't do any of the miles of fence painting I need to, and instead I spent
some time having a bit of a tidy up and sort out in garage. I then removed the remains of the rear ARB from the car.
Whilst it is not particularly freshly lubricated, I don't think it was binding (I forgot to check by detaching the
remaining drop-link - I could wiggle it side to side anyway), though there are some interesting marks on the mounting
blocks on one side.
I think I am going to have an attempt at getting it welded, as a cheap and immediate fix that won't cost me much to
try. I will need to get a piece of sleeve fitting tube to put down the inside, then grind out the old knuckle a
bit, and re-weld.

Nothing really to report. We had a run of naff weather, so the car didn't move, until this weekend when it was quite
nice so I went out and about a bit. Unfortunately, I managed to catch a bug...
