Still not alot happening. I've been using the car a little bit for occasional zooming around, though nothing specific worth reporting, and not all that much.
Something I did get around to doing was to remove the residue left by the gaffa tape which was applied to the car during the tour - around the makeshift bootlid I made, and around the makeshift half door I fitted. This seemed pretty stubborn, but it moved with some white spirit, a soft cloth, and some patience to let it soften up again.
Once this was done I decided that the affected areas would need some polish applying as the spirit would have removed any protection. And if I was doing this, I might as well T-cut the thing too. So that's what I've done. Progressively over the last week or so, I washed, T-cut, and polished the whole car.
With the car looking properly quite clean, I figured I should take some decent pictures of it (ones that aren't taken in the garage or on the drive!), so took the car to work one day, and nipped out at lunchtime to a local farm track and did some snaps...

(apologies for the small images, the hi-res ones are much better, but I am unable to host large image files :-/ the pictures have suffered a little in the resizing)

Having done all the external cleaning, I have spent a few evenings sorting out cleaning around in the engine bay. It was pretty mucky after the Scotland trip, and I'd not got around to sorting it out until now. It was also a worthy exercise to be able to give everything a check over whilst I was cleaning up - I seem to have a slight oil leak on the exit of the oil tank, which I'll keep an eye on; also I am watching the clutch slave cylinder mounts which seem to be a bit wibblier than normal (and are a not uncommon failure).
