Finally got around to fitting the nearside rear wheel arch stoneguard, after getting
the missing one sent over from the factory. Washed the car off for starters since it
was pretty grubby, and then the job took hardly any time at all, but that's always
the way doing it for a second time! The final result looks pretty good, and finishes
the rear arches off really well.

Herts Lotus Winter
Walk
Took the car out in the freezing cold today to join up with a bunch of friends with
Herts Lotus area group for their annual winter walk. This involves meeting up at
Dikko's house for a five mile walk through the countryside to a welcoming pub for
lunch. Then another mile or back in the dark.
So Craig and I drove down the back roads to Guys house at Much Hadham (eventually,
and via me learning the art of "the se7en splay", where I followed Craig into
a junction to find him stopped ahead of me - evasive action!). From there it was
a short blat over to Dikko's house, and I had the pleasure of taking
Martin as
passenger for his first BEC experience.
To cut a long ramble (sic) short, a great day was had by all, and it was a fine
opportunity to catch up with friends after the christmas break throughout the
day. Also the car is now up to about 700 miles and going quite nicely as I am
getting more and more used to driving it, and it seemed to be quite a popular
talking point on the day.

Went out with Bonce to meet up with some people from
Pistonheads who live in the local area.
The car was feeling pretty good today, as I haven't driven it for a while, although the damp
roads made for an interesting moment pulling out of a junction! I took the engine up to
7000rpm a couple of times, and it is really pulling well and wanting to go more, it seems to be
getting freer revving as the running in procedure is going on.
The meet was pretty good, though not many people turned out in the their sports cars, there
were a few TVRs, a lovely little Triumph Vitesse, and William turned up in his Dax. My car
seemed to attract quite alot of attention, especially when someone asked me to take the
bonnet off!
